Donna's Videos

I bought an inexpensive portable video camera that I can throw in my purse and bring along with me on my adventures.  My life can be pretty interesting sometimes, and my mind works in unique ways so you never know what I'll find interesting enough to tape.  I'll use this space to share some of the videos I take in my travels.  The goal here isn't perfection, or anything fancy.  It's just to share.  As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words...

For Michelle

Oct 26, 2007

I did this video at midnight for a good friend.  I promised her that I'd tape something that she could show to her class - she's teaching a graduate course of future psychologists and therapists and wanted to spend some time on trans issues.  Anyway, it's not fancy, it's not pretty, but it's a start.

I don't know how long I'll leave this up here.  For now, it stays.

Our Stories, Our Selves

Oct 28, 2007

This is an experiment to introduce the "TransLives Project: Our Stories, Our Selves".  I taped it in the backyard on the back patio.  You can hear the air conditioner in the background, and dogs barking.  Again, not polished, no script, nothing prepared - but the content is more important than the form.

I don't know how long I'll leave this up here, either.  For now, it stays.

SCC 2007 - A get-together with friends

Oct 30, 2007

I took this brief video just for fun at SCC 2007 in Atlanta at a get-together for NCTE. It includes (among others) Mara Keisling (NCTE), Christine Daniels (LA Times), Autumn Sundeen (blogstress), Eden Lane (Colorado Gold Rush).

It's certainly nothing earth-shattering, but it's fun to have a chance to meet friends relaxing, having fun, and enjoying themselves.  Enjoy.
